GOLF: KAPUR’S ONE-UP

Indian has small lead on Thongchai. An inconsistent Shiv Kapur of India, with five bogies, hit a one-under-par 72 for a one stroke lead over arch-rival Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand in the third round of the US$300,000 (Bt12 million) Double A International Open at the St Andrews Hill Golf Club in Rayong yesterday. Playing in damp conditions after rain early in the morning and again in the afternoon, Kapur looked to be heading for a big lead after sinking four birdies in his first 10 holes. But the two-day leader stumbled with five bogies and a double bogey at the 16th.
