New powder product leads Cute Press expansion Cosmetics firm SSUP (Bangkok) 1991 Co Ltd is to spend Bt40 million on a marketing campaign to boost sales in the last quarter of this year to Bt250 million, the company’s marketing director Bheerada Chamsobhon, said yester-day.
If achieved, the target will lift the company’s total sales revenue for the year to Bt950 million, Bt100 million, or 11.7 per cent, up on last year.
Bheerada said there was intense competition in the cosmetics market because almost all firms are trying to boost sales in the final quarter. For its part, SSUP has launched a new product, Cute Press Evory powder, under the concept “Beauty all the Time”. To promote the new product, the company will spend Bt30 million on television advertising and Bt10 million on print advertising and event marketing before the end of the year. The company expects Cute Press Evory to boost sales by Bt190 million this quarter. SSUP (Bangkok) is also developing a new business channel by using mail order to supply new customers living in areas not served by the company’s outlets. Currently, it has 78 outlets in Bangkok and upcountry, 200 sales agents and 150,000 beauty consultants. The company will increase its sales outlets from 78 to 100 by the end of the year, at a cost of Bt22 million. Additional revenue from new customers is expected to help boost sales, Bheerada said.
