BANGKOK AIRWAYS OPEN: BAD DAY FOR THAIS
Lu bounces back to take 3rd round lead. Taiwanese veteran Lu Wen-teh crafted a 4-under 67 yesterday to seize the lead at 8-under 205 after the third round of the US$200,000 (Bt8 million) Bangkok Airways Open on Samui island. Overnight leader Thammanoon Srirot had a day to forget with five bogeys and two double bogeys on the tough course. Lu’s scorecard included only one bogey and five birdies, including two in the final five holes to propel him to the top of the leaderboard.
