- In an attempt to beat inflation, Finance Minister Thanong Bidaya yesterday approved in principle allowing the Government Pension Fund (GPF) to expand its investments in equity and property markets, from 20 per cent to 25 per cent of its total assets worth Bt275 billion. The GPF is now 13-14 per cent invested in the equity market. It wants to increase its investments in foreign stock markets from 3 per cent to 5 per cent.
