EDITORIAL: Slowly building a better Bangkok

There’s little proof of it yet, but the city’s governor just may be finding out how to get things done. Judging from the way Bangkok Governor Apirak Kosayodhin assessed his performance after one year on the job, he seems to have a fairly clear idea that there is a wide gap between what he aimed to achieve and the few tangible positive results he has delivered so far. For a city in which more than 10 million people live and work, the breadth and range of Bangkok’s problems must be daunting to any politician who has the cheek to volunteer to serve.
