Market-leading mobile-phone operator Advanced Info Service (AIS) has appointed a game-content veteran, Peerasak Komalarajun, 44, as its new assistant vice president for content development.
His appointment took effect yesterday.
AIS vice president for wireless services Somchai Lertsutiwong said Peerasak’s key role would be to develop non-voice services, expand the AIS content-provider alliance, and procure interesting new local and foreign content. The move is part of its plan to strengthen its content business, he added. AIS also recruited an industry veteran from a foreign IT firm to be its vice president for enterprise-content business, Somchai said, but declined to elaborate. “We expect to officially announce his appointment in the next two months,” he said.
