‘Thainess’ fair

The government will host the Living with Thainess Fair 2005 to promote Otop products, food services, and the Thai tourism industry from tomorrow till August 28 at the Exhibition Hall of the Department of Export Promotion on Ratchadapisek Road.

Visitors will find top Otop products from all regions of Thailand. They are mostly handmade items from village communities using local wisdom, materials, skills, and creativity.

There will also be a showcase of authentic Thai dishes from Thai Kitchen to the World. Interesting information on travel destinations especially “Unseen Thailand” will be offered during the fair.

Dr Suvit Maesincee, vice minister of Commerce, will lead a discussion on how to market Otop goods, food services and the Thai tourism industry to the world market at the official opening, on August 23.

The event will be organised though cooperation among the Department of Export Promotion under the Ministry of Commerce, the National Food Institute, the Thailand Tourism Authority, the One Tambon One Product Coordinating Committee, the Public Relations Department of the Mass Communication Organisation of Thailand and the Department of Business Development.
