One of the marketers of Thailand’s Elite Card has suggested that it take over all marketing functions worldwide with the aim of attracting 20,000 members within five years.
A source at Thailand Privilege Card Co (TPC), which runs the card, said Aktiv Elite Thailand Co had proposed being the sole marketer of the privilege card, handling all overseas sales in place of the current 15 agents scattered around the world.
But TPC president Choksiri Rodboonpha said the company could not allow only one firm to handle sales and marketing, though it would consider the pros and cons of the idea. Aktiv told TPC its five-year business strategy aimed to draw in 20,000 new members. It is also wants to appoint more than 25 overseas subagents and has asked for 5-per-cent commission on each new enrolment. Suchat Sritama The Nation
