CyberPlanet Interactive Co Ltd, a local software developer/pu-blisher, has done another good job with an edutainment title – Ultraman Happy Study 1.
Ultraman Happy Study 1 is for children from two to five years old to start familiarising themselves with a computer.
CyberPlanet makes good use of colourful graphics, lively background music and popular Ultraman characters to encourage young kids to learn the concepts of shapes, colours, music and numbers. Happy Study 1 also teaches kids how to control the mouse’s cursor with a game in which they have to control an Ultraman character to dodge bullets fired by a monster. There is also an electronic colouring book for kids to enjoy. Happy Study 1 uses audio narration to teach kids. The counting game, for example, is very good in teaching kids to count numbered aliens and monsters. The musical game teaches children to recognise the sounds of five musical instruments: piano, flute, violin, guitar and drum. In the colour game, Ultraman tells them which colour is being displayed on monsters, so they gradually recognise colours. CyberPlanet also publishes Ultraman Happy Study 2, 3 and 4 for children in age groups 3-6, 4-7, and 5-9 respectively. These titles have games that are harder and more numerous. Ultraman Happy Study 1 is distributed by C-Plus Network for only Bt199, the same price as the other Happy Study titles.
