Every baht helps in relief effort

Even with massive amounts of money already donated to the tsunami-devastated provinces, people from all walks of life are still actively raising more.

All the TV shows are still calling for more, even cable movie channel Hallmark. Bangkok Rainbow, the ThailandOut gay portal, EGV and Box Office last week organised a charity screening of the film “A Home at the End of the World”.

Prior to the screening, there was an auction of items donated by celebrities and noted gay individuals, who either work with or conduct business within the gay community, including Natee Teerarojanaphong and Anand Arn-Pleung from Freeman Dance Arena.

Altogether, they helped raised Bt50,000, which went to the PM’s Office Disaster Relief Fund.

That might not be a huge sum, but every little bit helps.
